camouflage promenade |
2 performers walk the length of 14th St. from east to west, directly across the street from each other. Each wears the same (1868 era, full skirted day) dress, but with different approaches to camouflage applied. The mirrored movements, yet difference in surface patterns are meant to reflect dichotomies of uptown/downtown, highbrow/lowbrow, blending in/standing out, and the changing face of New York City through time. |
